The Famous Five books form a series of 21 children's adventure novels written by English author Enid Blyton. They were first published between 1942 and 1963. They are the origin of The Famous Five series, with TV and film adaptations and more book series.
Synopsis[]
The novels feature the adventures of Julian, Dick, Anne and Georgina (George) – and their dog Timmy. The main setting is George's home of Kirrin Cottage in the fictional village of Kirrin, inspired by the rural coast of Dorset. In the school holidays, the children have adventures involving lost treasure, secret passages, kidnappings and travelling the countryside, making many friends (and enemies) on the way.
