Spiky is a boy who helps Julian, Dick, Anne and Jo follow the trail of George's kidnappers. He is part of Gringo's Great Fair, a travelling fair that comes to Granton near Kirrin, and he lives in a caravan with his father who manages the roundabout.[1]
Personality and appearance[]
Spiky is helpful, friendly and trustworthy. He made friends with Jo at the fair, and gave her lots of free rides on the roundabout. When Julian and Dick come to the fair to look for George, Spiky snoops around for them and finds clues.
He is short and plump, with black eyes and a slightly lop-sided smiling face. He has black hair that sticks up in spikes, which is how he got his nickname.[2]
